In
1991 we began sending a refrigerated truck to Philadelphia
once a day to hand select fresh produce for a family restaurant.
Other food service operations quickly noticed our ability
to obtain high quality fruits and vegetables at a reasonable
price. Soon, our one truck overflowed with orders.
From
these humble beginnings, Primo has grown into a multi-million
dollar company. Trucks carrying only the freshest
produce arrive daily from all across the United
States, bringing more than 700 different items from
the world's finest markets.
In
1993, we began consolidating produce for the Allentown
division of U.S. Foodservice,
one of the nation's top foodservice suppliers. Our association
with US Foodservice is a tribute to our ability to provide
consistent quality while managing high volumes.
Our
continued growth gave rise to a new 30,000-square-foot
warehouse in 2000, which has been hailed as one of the
best designed, most functional facilities of its kind
on the East Coast.
Coupling
our expanded capacity with our tradition of quality
and customer service, Primo Produce is poised to continue
its growth. We look forward to serving you with the
same personal touch that our customers have received
since 1991.
