Primo Weekly Market Update 6/7/24

Lime Typically, this time of year we see pricing decrease but the drought in Mexico is keeping prices up. 110/150ct sizes are continuing to tighten up even more, putting additional pressure on 175ct and 200ct. Severe heat is also starting to cause some quality issues on all sizes as the fruit and trees continue to be stressed. We are seeing stylar and oil spotting on inbound fruit of all sizes. Growers should be seeing blooms on trees for the next crop already, but due to the stress that is not happening yet. Time will tell, but if this the bloom continues to be delayed/reduced, we will most likely see a gap between crops, and a reduced harvest out of the next crop as well.

Grapes:

Markets are steady on red and steady on green. The import Chilean deal will finish within the next few weeks. Mexico has started with light volume. Quality has been good on reds and mostly good on green. We will likely see some light ambering color on the green grapes through the end of the Chilean deal.
