California production ramps up. Quality is fair to good.
• Blueberry markets are up. CMEX production has ended, while California is seeing lighter
volume. Georgia, Florida, and North Carolina are all seeing light production as well. The
PNW is beginning harvest in a small way; followed by Michigan in July. As we transition
to new growing regions there may be a brief supply gap.
• Raspberry markets are steady. Central Mexico volume is beginning to slow as California
production ramps up. Quality is fair to good.
• Strawberry markets are coming off. Demand is currently light, though shippers are
beginning to see estimates improve with warmer temperatures. Limited promotional
activity, combined with the loss of school business, should help markets level out over
the next several days. Quality is fair to good.
Broccoli:
Broccoli markets are slightly up. Quality is good.
Brussel Sprouts:
Markets are steady. Quality is fair to good.
Cabbage:
• Green Cartons: Markets are steady. Quality is good.
• Red Cartons: Markets are steady. Quality is good.
• Bagged Cabbage: Markets are steady. Quality is good.
Carrots:
• Cello markets have strengthened with more demand on the southern crop from out
west. Quality is good.
• Loose Markets are continuing to come down slowly out of Mexico. California Jumbo
carrots remain somewhat tight due to smaller sizing, though conditions are expected to
improve. Quality is good.• Value-add Carrots markets are steady. Quality is good.
Cauliflower:
Markets are up. Quality is good.
Celery:
The market is coming off. There is an AOG trigger on all Celery value-added products. Quality is
fair to good.
Citrus: Alert
• Lemon: Markets are up. District One has finished, leaving Ventura County/Oxnard as the
main lemon-growing region. Supplies remain very tight across all sizes, and strong
markets are expected through June. Mexico supplies are limited and remain tight.
Offshore lemons are expected to arrive in late June or early July, with larger sizes
dominating and pricing expected to remain above domestic fruit due to strong quality.
Quality is fair to good.
• Limes: The market continues to soften as lime supply continues to improve. Quality is
good with only minor oil spots and stylar.
• Orange: Markets are up. Valencias are now the main orange variety, with only limited
Navel supplies remaining at slightly higher prices. Small fruit remains very tight and is
expected to stay that way throughout the Valencia season, despite some temporary
availability while schools are out. Offshore Navels are expected to arrive on both coasts
in late June to early July, helping ease demand on domestic Valencia supplies. Quality is
fair to good.
Cucumbers:
• Cucumber Markets are down. Eastern supply remains constrained following the
conclusion of South Florida production, while Georgia volumes are limited due to recent
weather conditions. Off grade product is readily available. North Carolina production
has started and should improve availability. Overall product quality remains good.
• Cello Cucumber markets are steady. Quality is good.
Eggplant:
Markets are down. Supplies remain tight in Florida, Mexico, and California. Georgia production
has improved, easing the market. Overall quality remains good.
Grapes:
The market is beginning to transition to newer varieties such as Sweet Celebrations and Sweet
Globes. Domestic harvest should begin the last week of June. Quality is fair to good.Green Onions:
Markets are steady. Quality is good.
Herbs:
• Basil: Quality is fair.
Lettuce Iceberg: Alert
Markets are up. Demand continues to exceed supplies, keeping the market tight. Lower yields,
driven by INSV and erratic weather conditions, are the primary factors behind the shortage.

Melons: Alert
• Cantaloupes: Market prices are trending upward as offshore fruit supplies have ended,
leaving domestic melons as the primary source of supply. In California, growers are
experiencing significant pressure from whiteflies, which is causing fields to decline
approximately two weeks earlier than anticipated. As a result, melon availability is
expected to remain extremely limited over the next several weeks. Quality is good.
• Honeydews: Markets are steady. Offshore honeydews are finished, while Mexican
supplies remain strong in Arizona. Domestic production remains strong in the Yuma
region. Quality is good.Onions:
Markets are holding steady. Production in Texas and California nears completion. New Mexico
and Central California have become the main loading areas for the remainder of the summer
season. Transportation conditions continue to play a key role in market trends. Overall quality
remains good.
Peppers:
• Green Pepper: Markets are down. Pepper supplies are improving as production
increases in Georgia. Demand for green peppers remains strong, keeping availability
somewhat tight. Growing regional production is expected to help stabilize supply and
bring better balance to the market. Quality is good.
• Red Pepper markets are coming off. Quality is fair to good.
Pineapples:
Markets are steady. Quality is good.
Potatoes:
Markets are trending upward as pricing continues to increase on count cartons. As the crop
nears its end, supplies of #1 cartons are becoming more limited, resulting in higher FOB pricing.
Larger-size potatoes are also tightening in availability. Transportation costs continue to
contribute to overall market strength. Quality remains strong.
Squash:
Markets are trending lower as production increases across Georgia, California, and Baja,
although yellow squash supplies remain tight. Heavy rainfall in Georgia has impacted
production levels. North Carolina and New Jersey production is increasing, adding supply to the
market. Overall quality remains good
Tomatoes:
Tomato supplies remain generally adequate as production transitions across both eastern and
western growing regions. In the East, volume is shifting from Central Florida into South Carolina
and other summer areas, while in the West, production is moving from Sinaloa into Baja,
Central Mexico, and California. Despite some lighter supplies and minor quality issues in select
regions, increasing output from newer growing areas is expected to keep availability stable
through June and into the summer season.
