- Bagged Cabbage: Markets are tightening. Quality is good.
Carrots:
- Cello markets are steady. Quality is good.
- Loose Mexican product is steady. Canadian product is becoming available and should start to bring the market down. Quality has been good.
- Value-add Snack Carrots are steady. Quality is good.
Cauliflower:
Markets are up. Supplies remain strong across all areas, with good quality and minor yellowing reported.
Celery:
Markets are steady. Supplies and Quality are good.
Citrus: Alert
- Orange: Markets are steady on Domestic oranges. Val’s are currently peaking on 113ct and 88ct, with sizes expected to increase as the season progresses. Gas times of about 24 hours are being used to enhance color. Brix levels are around 13, and the fruit is eating very well. Import markets are steady with Chilean fruit, and Moroccan fruit is starting to arrive as well. Quality is good.
- Lemon: Markets are strong on all sizes, with only District 2 (Ventura/Oxnard) growing. Sizes 165ct and smaller are very limited. Choice grade dominates; less Fancy due to conditions. Quality is fair, with softer fruit and early decay typical for the season. Coastal winds and moisture affect fruit, but shippers are discarding compromised lots. Imports are tight due to less fruit coming over and port delays. Quality is fair to good.
- Limes: market is tightening rapidly due to strong demand, less high-quality fruit.
Cucumbers:
- Cucumber market is steady. Quality has been good on inbound.
- Cello Cucumbers markets are steady, but supplies are tight due to recent hot weather. Quality is fair to good.
Eggplant:
Market is steady. quality has been good.
Grapes:
Markets are coming down. Flames and Ivories remain the bargain varieties, while newer varieties command a slight premium. Sizing is large, and quality has been excellent.
Herbs:
- Basil: Quality is fair.
Leaf Lettuce:
- Romaine markets are slightly down. Slight fringe and tip burn have been reported. Quality is good.

Melons:
- Cantaloupes: Markets continue to come off. Warm weather is producing high quality Cantaloupes, peaking on 9s and 12s with Brix levels between 13-16 range. Quality is good.
- Honeydew: Market continue to come off. Warm weather is producing high quality Honeydew, peaking on 5 counts with Brix levels in the 13-16 range. Quality is good.
Onions:
The onion market is steady. Quality has been good.
Peppers:
- Green bell seems to have settled and most sizes are readily available. Quality on inbound has been good.
- Red Pepper markets are active and sold out. Quality is fair.
Pineapples:
Market continues to strengthen and will likely continue an upward trend for a few more weeks. Quality has been good.
Potatoes:
Quality and sizing remain consistent with recent packs. Larger size cartons are tightening, and we are seeing upward pressure on pricing. New Crop is set to start shipping on Monday 8/11/25
Strawberries & Bush Berries: Alert
- Strawberry markets are up. Salinas and Watsonville are in a declining cycle, while Santa Maria is set to ramp up this week, with Oxnard to follow in late September. Quality is fair.
- Raspberry markets are steady. Supplies have been steady from Central Mexico, Baja, and California. Quality is good.
